For many years Charles Trombley was a Jehovah’s Witness having been raised on the teachings of Charles Russell, the founder, until a miracle of healing resulted in his “invitation” to leave the movement. A short time later he received the baptism in the Holy Spirit making him one of the first to receive this experience in the present Charismatic awakening.
Because he was apprehended by the Lord Jesus Christ through a miracle the Lord told him: “What I’ve done in your life will be a pattern that I’ll repeat many times as you minister to others.”
His articles have appeared in leading periodicals. He edits The Expositor Publications and The Sword of the Spirit teaching paper and directs Charles Trombley Ministries, the mission association through which his ministry functions. He has a B.A. from Immanuel Baptist College, a M.A. from Luther Rice Seminary and a honorary D.D. from Kingsway Theological Seminary.
He’s been a guest on many national TV programs, a camp meeting and conference speaker and worked closely with the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship speaking in more than 1000 of their meetings and conventions. He directed and taught in Victory Bible Institute (Tulsa, Ok.), and guest lectured in several colleges. He is listed in the 1979 edition of Contemporary Authors, the l979 edition of Personalities in America and the l980 edition of Who’s Who in the South.
During recent years his missionary assistance program in Malawi, one of the world’s poorest nations, has grown rapidly with a Cassette Bible Institute, church building programs, supplying Bibles and literature, food and clothing for the poor and established two orphan homes fully staffed with 146 children.
He is a member of Victory Christian Center, Tulsa, Ok., Billy Joe Daugherty, Pastor, and married 56 years to Gladys Trombley, with four children and nine grandchildren.
